Private Lines

Private Lines are point to point data voice circuits that connect two locations. These can be anywhere from an analog voice line to gigabit data service. As in most telecommunication services private lines have their advantages and disadvantages.  Doctor Telco Inc. offers local, national and international private lines services from numerous carriers.

Advantages of Private Line

• Private Lines are non-shared service. You should receive the exact bandwidth you are paying for at all times.

• For locations that are close geography, in town or within 300 miles, private lines maybe more cost effective than MPLS.

Disadvantages of Private Line

• A private line always follows the same path. If that path is cut the service will be down until it is fixed. Some SONET based private line services will recover the line while the service is being repaired. Please note just because something is SONET based does not mean the carrier has the availably to recover the private line instantly.

• Private lines will be costly for locations over 300 miles.

Frame Relay

Frame Relay is a standardized wide area network technology that specifies the physical and logical link layers of digital telecommunications channels using a packet switching methodology. These services are being replaced by MPLS. Many carriers have discontinued their Frame Relay offerings and replaced the offering with more robust MPLS services. Frame Relay has no advantage over the newer MPLS technology.  Doctor Telco can continue to offer Frame Relay and Frame Relay emulation from the remaining providers.

IP/VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network, such as the Internet. It enables a computer to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if it were directly connected to the private network, while benefitting from the functionality, security and management policies of the private network.[1] This is done by establishing a virtual point-to-point connection through the use of dedicated connections, encryption, or a combination of the two. Doctor Telco Inc. has the providers and expertise to help you determine the best solution for your company.

Local Phone Lines

Even in today’s IP world there is still a place in nearly every business for local phone lines. Many times they are the most cost effective service for your business. You may find it necessary to have local phone lines for modems and alarm lines. We at Doctor Telco Inc. represent many different local phone companies and can even get your local phone services combined on one easy to read bill.

MPLS

Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a mechanism in high-performance telecommunications networks that directs data from one network node to the next based on short path labels rather than long network addresses, avoiding complex lookups in a routing table. The labels identify virtual links (paths) between distant nodes rather than endpoints. MPLS can encapsulate packets of various network protocols. MPLS supports a range of access technologies, including T1/E1, Ethernet,DSL.

MPLS offers numerous advantages over traditional private lines including the ability to route around congestion on the network and disaster recovery. Since MPLS is virtually private network a firewall is not necessary for security unless the customer establishes a connection to the Internet into his MPLS cloud. Doctor Telco Inc. offers many different MPLS providers with many different abilities to make your networking experience a successful one.  These providers offer services through multiple access options, disaster recovery options, credit card service validation, bandwidth on demand, SaaS (Software as a Service) to name a few.
